During the tour you will visit such cities as Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Nukus, the capital of Karakalpakstan. And most importantly you can see the amazing and unique Aral Sea, which unfortunately today is experiencing a period of its disappearance. Take a boat trip on the seashore.

Start of the tour around Tashkent The capital of Uzbekistan - the city of Tashkent - has existed for more than 2200 years. During this time it has gone from an ancient settlement to a major city of Central Asia. The city has seen a lot of memorable events and trials, encountered ups and downs.

Great Samarkand is one of the ancient cities of the world, its age is 2750 years. Samarkand is located in the picturesque valley of the river Zarafshan, surrounded by the Pamir-Alai mountains. Amir Temur made Samarkand the capital of his large empire.

One of the most ancient cities of the world - fabulous Bukhara. Bukhara has many names. The word "Bukhara" is consonant with the Sanskrit word "Vihara" - "monastery", also Chinese "Bihar" - place of idols. It is said that the founder of Bukhara was the son of the Iranian king Siyavush. Having married the daughter of the king Afrosiab, he built here the fortress Ark, and erected a huge city, which to this day has not lost all its beauty and majesty.

Modern highway crosses the desert Kizilkum repeating the ancient route of the Great Silk Road. Lunch in a national restaurant or take lunch - boxes on the road. (on the highway Bukhara - Khiva) Photo stop on the Amu Darya River. (independently) Nailed to Khiva at the end of the day.

10:00 Start of the excursion. (with local or itinerary guide) Khiva is a city of ancient Khorezm.

The historical area of Uzbekistan is now entirely under the care of UNESCO. Thousands of years ago there was an oasis here, through which the Great Silk Road passed. The legend of the origin of the settlement is interesting. It is said that it appeared around a well, which was dug by order of the son of the biblical Noah. This well can still be seen in the city. Khiva is a boon for photographers. Here at every step the hand involuntarily reaches for the camera.

-Visit to Savitsky Museum. - The famous museum houses the world's second largest collection of Russian avant-garde art and the exposition of applied art objects of the peoples of Central Asia, collected by the Russian artist and patron of art I.V. Savitsky.

- Short drive through the center of Nukus: visit to the monument to Karakalpak poet Berdakh, Nukus Khokimiyat and Drama Theater.

9:00 Start of excursion. (with local or route guide)

In the morning after breakfast starts a full day trip to the Aral Sea through the Ustyurt Plateau. The distance to the water line of the Aral Sea is 450 km and it will take about 7-8 hours to reach it. The way passes through Kungrad district, which used to be one of the trading centers on the Silk Road. On the way we will see the remains of a lighthouse and the abandoned settlement of Urga. Stop for photo at Sudochie Lake. Stop for picnic lunch. Continuation of the way along the huge Ustyurt plateau. Visit to the last village near the sea called Komsomolsk. Continuation of the way and arrival at the Aral Sea in the second half of the day. Swimming in the Aral Sea. Taking a shower in the yurt camp.

Nukus - Muynak - Aral.

Early rise for photographing the sunrise.
Breakfast in yurt camp.
After breakfast visit a hidden fortress called Kurgancha kala of 13th century. Later drive back to Nukus. Stop for photographing beautiful canyons and collapsed land. Visit the cemetery of nomads. Drive across the dried up sea bed. Stop in Muynak to visit a former port with abandoned ships on the sand - "Ship Graveyard". Lunch break. You have an opportunity to visit a local's house and enjoy a delicious lunch. On the way to Nukus visit Mizdakhan Memorial Complex and Gyaur Kala Fortress.

Aral - Muynak - Nukus

How many people can participate in the tour?
We maintain a small group size so that you have the freedom to move around and experience your surroundings, as well as more personal attention from our local guides. This group size ensures that you are not overwhelmed by the experience. Up to 15 people can participate in a trip, but the average is 12. Check individual trip pages for maximum group size.
What clothes should I bring with me on my trip?
We always recommend bringing as few items as possible, however the specific requirements for your tour can vary greatly depending on where and when you are traveling. Our Trip Details document has a list of required items that can be downloaded from each individual trip page. This list is tour-specific and is based on the experience of our staff.
Can you help with a tourist visa?
Tourist visa requirements vary greatly depending on your nationality and destination. On the Resources page, we have provided links to websites that can help you determine if a visa is required. If you need a visa, you can apply for one yourself or use our travel agency services.
Do your tours include international air travel?
Travelers arrive on our tours from all over the world, so we cannot include the cost of international airfare in our prices. We will be happy to help you arrange your flight. Just ask for airfare when you make your reservation.
I am traveling alone, will I be charged extra for solo travel?
On most of our trips there is no extra charge for single occupancy. This means that accommodation is on a twin share basis and if you are traveling alone, you will share a room with another traveler of the same gender. Some tours have an optional single occupancy supplement or, in rare cases, a mandatory single occupancy supplement. An additional service that may be available is called "My Own Room". This service allows solo travelers to book a private room for the duration of the tour. Costs and details vary depending on the specific tour, so please refer to each tour description page.
Can you provide me with a list of the hotels we will be staying at?
The starting and ending hotels are indicated on your travel voucher and in the "Trip Details" document. We use different hotels along the way, so a complete list of hotels will only be provided on the first day of the tour. If your family needs contact information or in case of an emergency, please call +998 33 201-10-01. If our office is closed, please use the emergency phone number listed in the Trip Details document. This number can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Who are my traveling companions?
For privacy reasons, we cannot provide you with detailed information about your traveling companions. However, our tours appeal to a wide range of travelers, most of whom share an adventurous spirit and a desire to experience these places at the lowest level. Our tours are conducted in English, so they attract many travelers from North America, the UK and Europe.
Is a tip included, and if not, how much should I tip?
Tipping is not included in the tour price and you are free to tip at your discretion. Our Trip Details documentation shows suggested tip amounts and can be downloaded from the individual trip description page.
