09:00 Departure from Tashkent to Fergana by transportation through Kamchik mountain pass. Type and brand depends on the number of guests. ( 342 km - 5.30 - 6 hours)

Break for lunch in a local teahouse ( in the mountain pass).

After lunch continuation of the journey.

The city of Margilan is located 20 km from Fergana and is one of the most ancient cities of Fergana Valley. Since ancient times Margilan was famous for its beautiful and fine silk and "ikat" patterns. The most famous attraction of Margilan city is "Yodgorlik" silk-weaving factory. Visit Fazlidinn master of handloom production. Also in Margilan you will visit Said Ahmad Khuja Madrasah where the center of crafts of Fergana Valley people is located, and if the excursion falls on Thursday or Sunday - trip to Kumtepa Bazaar, the largest market of Fergana Valley, you will walk along the Central Bazaar - Famous Bazaar "Kumtepa", with its abundance of satin and adras fabric, where you can buy at a very low price.

Tashkent - Ferghana Valley (Margilan)

Departure to Tashkent via Rishtan and Kokand.

9:00 Start of the tour. (with local or route guide)

First stop in Rishtan district of Fergana region. ( 55 km. 1 h.) - The first stop is Rishtan village, which from ancient times was famous for its ceramics. Rishtan ceramics is distinguished by the richness of decoration, which is dominated by blue color. This unique blue "ishkor" glaze is made by hand from natural mineral pigments and mountain plants. Today, every third family in Rishtan produces ceramics.

After visiting several masters we drive to Kokand.

Second stop in the city of Kokand, Fergana region. (43 km. 1 hr.) - Khudayar-Khan Palace of the XIX century is inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List, currently it houses the Kokand Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, which presents a unique collection of more than 3000 artifacts from the ancient, khan and royal periods of the region. The Grand Palace was built in several stages from 1822 to 1867, and the facade was decorated with exquisite ceramic patterns by masters of Rishtan and Kashgar. Much of the decoration has survived to this day.

Modarikhon Mausoleum "Modari Khan" means "Mother of Khan" was built in 1825 by order of Umarkhan's widow, the famous poetess Nodira. Since then, the mausoleum has become the family mausoleum where most of the female members of the Khan's family are buried.

Return to Tashkent.

9:00 Start of the excursion. (with local or route guide) In the morning after breakfast starts full day trip to the Aral Sea through Ustyurt Plateau. The distance to the water line of the Aral Sea is 450 km and it will take about 7-8 hours to reach it. The way passes through Kungrad district, which used to be one of the trading centers on the Silk Road. On the way we will see the remains of a lighthouse and the abandoned settlement of Urga. Stop for photo at Sudochie Lake. Stop for picnic lunch. Continuation of the way along the huge Ustyurt plateau. Visit to the last village near the sea called Komsomolsk. Continuation of the way and arrival at the Aral Sea in the afternoon. Swimming in the Aral Sea. Taking a shower in the yurt camp.
Dinner around the campfire.
Night in yurts.

Nukus - Muynak - Aral.

Early rise for photographing the sunrise.

Breakfast in yurt camp.

After breakfast visit a hidden fortress called Kurgancha kala of XIII century.

Later drive back to Nukus.

Stop for photographing beautiful canyons and collapsed lands. Visit the cemetery of nomads. Drive across the dried up sea bed.

Stop in Muynak to visit a former port with abandoned ships on the sand - "Ship Graveyard".

Lunch break.

You have an opportunity to visit a local's house and enjoy a delicious lunch.

What clothes should I bring with me on my trip?
We always recommend bringing as few items as possible, however the specific requirements for your tour can vary greatly depending on where and when you are traveling. Our Trip Details document has a list of required items that can be downloaded from each individual trip page. This list is tour-specific and is based on the experience of our staff.

Do your tours include international air travel?
Travelers arrive on our tours from all over the world, so we cannot include the cost of international airfare in our prices. We would be happy to help you arrange your flight. Just ask for airfare when you make your reservation.
I am traveling alone, will I be charged extra for solo travel?
On most of our trips there is no extra charge for single occupancy. This means that accommodation is on a twin share basis and if you are traveling alone, you will share a room with another traveler of the same gender. Some tours have an optional single occupancy supplement or, in rare cases, a mandatory single occupancy supplement. An additional service that may be available is called "My Own Room". This service allows solo travelers to book a private room for the duration of the tour. Costs and details vary depending on the specific tour, so please refer to each tour description page.
Can you provide me with a list of the hotels we will be staying at?
The starting and ending hotels are indicated on your travel voucher and in the "Trip Details" document. We use different hotels along the way, so a complete list of hotels will only be provided on the first day of the tour. If your family needs contact information or in case of emergency, please call +998 33 201-10-01. If our office is closed, please use the emergency phone number listed in the Trip Details document. This number can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Who are my traveling companions?
For privacy reasons, we cannot provide you with detailed information about your traveling companions. However, our tours appeal to a wide range of travelers, most of whom share an adventurous spirit and a desire to experience these places at the lowest level. Our tours are conducted in English, so they attract many travelers from North America, the UK and Europe.
Is a tip included, and if not, how much should I tip?
Tipping is not included in the tour price and you are free to tip at your discretion. Our Trip Details documentation shows suggested tip amounts and can be downloaded from the individual trip description page.
