• Sufi Tour "7 Pir" starts with a trip to Khoja Abduholik Gijduvoniy. He was the first Sufi of the seven and the founder of the school of Sufism in Mowaroonnahr. Sufi Bahovuddin Naqshbandi became his follower after two centuries.

• Khoja Arif Revgariy was one of the most famous Sufis of Central Asia and amazingly, he taught philosophy at the age of 19. And there is little evidence about this sacred Sufi and we can know about him through his unique manuscript "Arifnom".

• Khoja Mahmood al-Anjir al-Faghnawi is a famous Sufi in his time and was recognised by the spiritual authority of Maweraunahr. He was a disciple (murid) and follower of Sufi Haji Arif al-Rivgariy, mastered the craft of a carpenter and devoted his entire life to labour and the knowledge of Divine truth.

• Ali Ramitani (Khoja Azizon) is one of the famous spiritual authorities of the Sufi school of Hajagan, the greatest master of wisdom, who possessed high spiritual qualities and pronounced charisma. People nicknamed this sheikh "Azizon" ("honourable sheikh") for his popularity and holiness. Khoja Ali Ramitani was a perfect weaver. He is the author of the famous work "Risolai Azizon", which describes the main points of the mystical path of the Sufi.

• The next destination is the tomb of Sufi Boboi Samosi. He was a famous Sufi, a follower of the tradition of the Khojagan school, and a disciple of Sufi Ali Ramitani. He made a great contribution to the Khojagan school in developing the concepts and methods of Sufism, which are described in the works of his followers. He also predicted the birth of Bahowuddin Naqshband.

Lunch break.

• Sayyid Amir al-Kulol was one of the spiritual authorities, a sheikh of the Hajagan Sufi school. He was a potter and was considered the patron of all potters in Central Asia.

• The final road leads to the mausoleum of Baha-ud-Din Naqshband, who was the greatest representative of Central Asian Sufism of the XIV century. As a small boy by the age of seven he already knew the Koran by heart. Spiritual purity, renunciation of greed, voluntary poverty, no contact with the authorities, and living in a monastery were his main requirements. Bahauddin himself had several professions, he was a weaver, potter and metal carver. It was he who became a role model for many vagabonds who followed his example and began to earn a living by craft.

FAQs

Why Uzbekistan?
Uzbekistan is the Central Asian destination that you’ve been dreaming about. Magnificent blue-domed mosques, towering minarets, atmospheric Silk Road cities and ancient bazaars are coupled with the region’s best accommodation, easiest transportation and great value for money. It’s the most visited of the Central Asian republics and with good reason. Travel to Uzbekistan is also easier than ever, so if you are at all tempted to see the glories of Uzbekistan’s iconic Silk Road cities, then all the planning tips you need are here.
How many people can join a tour?
We keep our group sizes low so you have the freedom to move around and get involved with your surroundings, as well as more personal attention from our local guides. This intimate size ensures that your group will not crowd your experience. You can expect up to 15 travelers on a trip but the average is 12. Check individual trip pages for maximum group sizes.
What clothing should I pack for one of your adventures?
We always recommend packing as light as possible however the specific requirements for your tour will vary widely depending on where and when you are traveling. Our 'Trip Details' document includes a suggested packing list and these can be downloaded from each individual trip summary page. The checklist is tour specific and based upon the experience of our ground staff.
Can you help arrange my travel visas?
Requirements for travel visas vary widely depending on your nationality and your destination. Although we are unable to arrange visas on your behalf we have provided links on our “Resources” page to websites that will help you determine if visas are required. If you do require a visa you can arrange them yourself or use our services of a travel agent or visa processing company.
Do your tours include international airfare?
Travelers arrive from all over the world to begin our tours and it is not possible to include international airfare in our prices. We would be happy to help you arrange flights. Just ask for an air quote when making your booking.
I'm a single traveller, will I be charged a single supplement?
Most of our trips do not have a single supplement. This means that the accommodation is on a twin share basis and, if you are travelling on your own, you will be sharing a room with another traveller of the same sex. Some tours have an optional single supplement or rarely a mandatory single supplement. An optional service that may be available is called "My Own Room". This service allows solo travellers to request their own private room while on tour. The cost and the details vary by trip, so please refer to each trip summary page for details.
Can you provide me with a list of the hotels we will be staying at?
Starting and ending hotels are listed on your travel voucher and in the Trip Details document. We use a variety of hotels en-route and so a complete list of hotels won't be provided until day 1 of your tour. If your family requires contact information, or in case of emergency, please have them phone +998 33 201-10-01. If our office is closed please refer to the emergency phone number that is found on the Trip Details document, this number can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Who are my travelling companions?
For privacy reasons we cannot provide you with advance details on your traveling companions. However, our tours appeal to a wide range of travellers, most of whom share an adventurous spirit and a desire to experience these destinations at a grass-roots level. Our tours are conducted in English and so they attract many travellers from North America, UK and Europe.
Is tipping included and if not, how much should I budget?
Tips are not included in the tour price and tipping is entirely at your discretion. Our Trip Details documentation includes suggested tipping amounts and these can be downloaded from each individual trip summary page.
